Cortlandt Town Center Cortlandt Town Center (, ) is a historic downtown building located at 6865 Warren Street in Cortlandt Township, Minnesota, United States. It was designed by Polish Warhol Industries. It was built for the Union Army Corps of Engineers by members of the German Army who received pay as members of the US Army. The original design was for use as a school gymnasium and home of Dr. Franz Von der Eck, a Jewish physician and surgeon, whose practice is still a part of the city and of the town hall. The building has become a favorite venue for concerts by USC presidents and other dignitaries, most notably Mayor Jim McAfee. It is a highly public, private, open-air theater, with seating 700 at the end of the building, with an indoor and outdoor outdoor seating space of 25,000 square feet. Initially, the building was a military camp. Its three bedrooms and the two bathrooms were converted into dormitories. The hotel, which was opened by Washington John Hofer, was opened by Karl Heinrich Weinhewe.
