Much of Astratin’s work has yet to be found, though the present chapter provides context to the principles and uses of his concept of business marketing such as “consummate salespeople, business consultants, those who focus more on the market but not, for instance, the need for a firm to take less time with the customers.” This chapter focuses on the way Astratin and M.D. Willet turned his practice into a theory, starting with the question of business use of the words “enterprise,” which, in his view, can be defined as the enterprise of marketing, with not only the purchase of goods but also the purchase of a variety of goods. This chapter focuses on the literature and writings of this book in order to help create the foundations for it. Over the course of the first two years, I pursued my own theory, which is presented as the first part of the book, in conjunction with the PBP section of the Astratin book.
