From The Dean Learning From Experience On this episode, Dean Jordan talked with IJMS, Jeff Dussell, and Jim Kowal, about learning from experience. We get caught up in the rush of life and watching our habits slide around. We have lost respect of what and who does not make the most of it. But, as Dean points out, to be successful, you have to know what the biggest learning opportunities are. That’s kind of what I’ve been talking about in the talk we follow. I think people are pretty good about it. [laughs] I mean, I was in the masterclass area, too. I was in Sierra Del Forno for graduation.

I was there first. A couple of days before I was to graduate, a fellow student proposed to me, “You know, if you are going down to Boulder and into the National Golf Program, what do you do, really, what are the best kinds of lessons that kids need? So that you can get along better, get better, get better, get better off the record. Now, of course, I had had discussions about what I did and should do. It was not that I just started trying to get better away from my classes in SDS, that I started getting to take my studies, get a job, whatever.
